Kook Learns Surfing from a Saint
On a visit to SoCal author Peter Heller decided to teach himself to surf…with disastrous results. Then, when he was parked across from the Seal Beach Pier watching the waves, a van pulled in and Michael Pless Sr. got out.
Pless (the owner of M & M Surfing School) is the one who showed Heller how to surf – launching him on a surfing road trip to Baja California in a VW van and to writing his book KOOK about his adventures. See the story in Surf’n Beach Scene Magazine:
Here you’ll find lots of M&M Surfing School student photos, posted almost daily during the week. You may see M&M Surfing School in action and order shots of yourself and loved ones. Dave is with M&M Surfing School of Seal Beach, Monday through Friday, in the mornings photographing the classes on the beach and in the surf. You can also follow Dave Peeters Photography on Facebook.
